Margie Bordovsky

Margie is from Austin, Texas and relocated to Arkansas in 1992. She founded NWA Ballet Theatre in 2011 with her classically-trained daughter, Mariah, and her dear friend and mentor, the late Peggie Wallis. After seeing many quality dancers having to leave the Northwest Arkansas region in order to have an opportunity to dance professionally, Mrs. Bordovsky wanted to create a highly trained dance company that would offer amazing performances for the community as well as create opportunities to keep local dancers and bring talented individuals to the area. Pulling from her experience in the performing arts, she began organizing and directing for local dancers. Over the years, Margie has brought in experienced talent that has helped guide NWA Ballet Theatre into becoming a respected company. In addition to her duties as Executive Director, Margie designs most of the costumes used for the company's performances. In 2017, her original poetry and script for Carnival of the Animals was presented on stage at Arend Arts Center in a production with Arkansas Philharmonic Orchestra and NWA Ballet Theatre. She is happily married to her best friend, David. They have two daughters and three grandchildren.
